| Loxafamosity.com stands on the firm conviction that truth is knowable because truth is absolute. Though time and space keep us from knowing exhaustively, they do not therefore keep us from knowing accurately. The obstacles which exist in the realm of knowledge are formidable, but they are not inherently prohibitive.
Postmodern man has rightly understood that starting from himself and moving out, there can be no way of knowing anything for certain. Nevertheless, we as humans are personal beings, and the ability to communicate gives us the capacity to understand on some level that which we may never experience directly. Therefore, if something infinite, personal, and true exists, and if this something chooses to communicate with us, then the barriers to true knowledge cease to exist.
This is precisely what has happened!
As such, Loxafamosity.com rests squarely on the complete authority of scripture as revealed in the 66 books of the Bible. We embrace the biblical system not because of any cultural, historical, or religious bias, but because it is the only system which manages to make sense of what we see in the world with what we see in ourselves. Quite simply, it is the only system which proves absolutely true.
Loxafamosity.com is designed to be a forum for examining the presuppositions which shape our individual world views. Many will maintain that every belief is equally valid, but such a position is steeped in intellectual dishonesty. The Holocaust should make that painfully clear. In the end, a failure to pursue the strength of one's philosophical foundation is a grave mistake, so we challenge the Christian and non-Christian alike to have the moral integrity to actively examine the implications of their belief system. Life is too short to do otherwise.
Loxafamosity.com is structured so as to engage both the Christian and the non-Christian mind, and we covet the opportunity to discuss the application of real truth as it plays out in real life. We do not live in a vacuum, and much of which seems viable in theory is ludicrous in practice. Our perspective is a biblical one because biblical truth is true everywhere, and for everyone. The Bible, in fact, reveals that every person throughout all of human history has been created with an inherent understanding that there is a God (Rom. 1:19), that we are His creation (Rom 1:19), that we have violated His law (Rom. 2:15), and that we are fit to be judged (Rom. 1:32). While there are countless people who will vehemently oppose such a notion, if something is really true, it matters little if all the world dissents.
We do not ask that people accept the Christian position on our authority or even on the authority of scripture. We simply ask that they be willing to honestly consider what the Bible teaches in light of what they observe in themselves. The one who is willing to critically examine his or her own heart will often find biblical truth to be self-authenticating. The Bible never calls for blind faith.
We earnestly invite those who disagree with our conclusions to join with us in this crucial discourse, as we combat a culture which is built increasingly on the avoidance of serious thought. We graciously invite all the arguments you have and ask only that you likewise consider ours. We are fallible through and through, but our foundation is not. We thank God for the grace He gives to cover our oft misguided efforts, and we invite the world to join with us in the abundant life which is offered to all who repent and believe (Mark 1:15).*
For everyone out there who has given up on the possibility of ever finding absolute truth or meaning in this life, we invite you to consider again with fresh eyes the evidence before you. For those who have already embraced the inherent truth of God's word, we invite you to explore with us an ever greater understanding of God's glorious truth. It's absolutely amazing!
Loxafamosity (For the joy)!!
I Timothy 1:5
