All of Scripture’s commands are summed up for us in two succinct statements. Love God with everything you have, and love other people as much as you love yourself (Matthew 22:37-40). The person who does this fulfills the law perfectly. Everything else, all of the Bible’s commands and prohibitions fall under this grand umbrella.
The Christian ethic, biblical morality, is all about love... real love, not the kind of love which seeks it’s own at the expense of others. It is about kindness, compassion and mercy. It is loving someone enough to humbly tell them the truth even if they hate you for it. Here is the question, then. Is abortion an act of compassion and love or is it an act of cruel selfishness? Is the mother loving her child as much as she loves herself when she decides to abort that child? If the shoe were on the other foot, and the mother was going to be an inconvenience for someone, or was going to enter into a life of potential hardship, would she rather be killed or would she rather be let live? This question and others need honest answers.
The Bible commands us to offer protection for the weakest and most vulnerable members of humanity. Psalm 82:4 tells us to, “Rescue the weak and needy; Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.” Proverbs 31:9 says, “Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the afflicted and needy.” Ask yourself, does abortion defend and protect the most vulnerable members of the human community or does it destroy them?
Proverbs 6:17 proclaims that God hates, “haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood”. Psalm 106:37,38 speaks of God’s contempt for child sacrifice saying, “They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons, and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with the blood.” Look at the pictures of abortion and ask yourself honestly, does abortion shed innocent blood?
I John 1:7 tells us to walk in the light. John 3:20 says that the deeds of darkness hate the light. They hate being exposed. Ask yourself, does the abortion industry want the light to shine brightly upon their handiwork?

• ABORTION UNFILTERED DVD - The biggest addition to the Abort73 lineup this quarter is the new Abortion Unfiltered DVD. While it’s designed to be a really cool introduction to the Abort73 website, it is a great educational tool in its own right. Even if someone never visits the site, the DVD, itself, will dramatically shape the way they think about abortion. To accompany the DVD, we’ve added a complete simulated version of the disc which is available for viewing on the website. This allows groups and individuals to see how the DVD operates before they actually buy it for distribution.
• WEBBY AWARD HONOREE - The Webby Awards are cyberspace’s version of the Oscars. In this, the 10th year of the Webby, we entered Abort73.com in the “Activism” category. Unfortunately, we were not one of the five finalists, but we were chosen as an official Webby Honoree which is bestowed on less than 20% of the 5,500 total entries. We were the only pro-life site included and because of Abort73’s alphabetic standing, we’re listed very near the top of the list (right ahead of sites by Adidas and Adobe).
• MORE NEW ABORT73 T-SHIRTS - We sold close to 700 shirts in the first three months of 2006 which has required frequent re-ordering and also given us opportunity to add some new designs to the mix.

Last quarter we highlighted some of the ministry leaders who have recommended Abort73.com, names like Randy Alcorn and John Piper. As we had hoped, their influence has helped secure a number of new donors, and for that we are extremely grateful! Through the first three months of 2006, Loxafamosity has received $10,399 in donations (roughly $3,500 a month), which is more than twice as much as we received for the same period in 2005 ($4,645). We’ve also sold $8,352.81 worth of merchandise (minus tax and credit card fees) to give us an incoming total of almost $19,000.
That is how all of our money came in, and because we want donors (and potential donors) to have a good sense of how their money is being spent, this is how it all went out (January to March, 2006):
- Merchandise Production (shirts, pens, stickers): $9,280.68
- Printing (newsletters, envelopes, letterhead): $2,596.28
- Shipping (product, newsletters, books): $2,135.65
- Search Engine Advertising: $818.84
- Digital Media (software, stock video, stock music) : $760.42
