Biblical MoralityAre they happy for the world to see what they do, or would they prefer it to stay hidden in the darkness, far away from public scrutiny?

Finally, consider John 8:44. Satan is a murderer from the beginning. Ask yourself, does abortion seem more consistent with Satan’s desires or with God’s desires? Is abortion love and mercy or is it murder?

Ultimately, biblical morality requires both the rejection of evil and the embracing of good. Where one action is prohibited, the opposite is implicitly commanded. Thomas Watson explains it this way in his book, The Ten Commandments.

The law of God forbids not only the act of sin, but the desire and inclination; not only does it forbid adultery, but lusting (Matt 5:28); not only stealing, but coveting (Rom 7:7). Lex humana ligat manam, lex divina comprimit animam ‘Man’s law binds the hands only, God’s law binds the heart.’ In the commandments there is a synecdoche, more is intended than is spoken. Where any sin is forbidden, the contrary duty is commanded. When we are forbidden to take God’s name in vain, the contrary duty, that we should reverence His name, is commanded...Where we are forbidden to wrong our neighbor, there the contrary duty, that we should do him all the good we can, by vindicating his name and supplying his wants, is included.

Biblical morality is not simply “Do not murder.” It is “Do not murder, but rather love!” Love those who are being murdered. Love those who are being aborted, and love those who are doing the aborting.

Incidentally, this kind of love is impossible...but by the grace of God.

Where Did All the Money Go?

  • Internet Costs (hosting, web service, email list management): $522.05
  • Shipping Supplies: $326.36

Looking at this list, does anything seem to be missing? We have left off some miscellaneous taxes and fees, but, more significantly, we’ve left off salaries. Any guesses as to how much Loxafamosity paid in total salaries for the first three months of 2006? Answer: $2000. Obviously, that compensates only a tiny fraction of all the hours that are poured into this venture, but even with all the volunteer labor we’ve received, our future effectiveness is very much tied to our ability to hire people who will be able to push Abort73 forward on a full time basis. Please, take the time to consider our strategy and results, and if you feel, as we do, that this is the best approach for educating huge numbers of young people about abortion, then donate today. Use the envelope provided or donate online @ Abort73.com/donate. Thanks so much, we can’t do this alone!

From Shirt to DVDhave been very popular, we’ve still received plenty of requests over the last year for Abort73 printed materials. Our first response came last December with the Abort73 postcards, but this year, we’re releasing a product that is infinitely more substantial. Abortion Unfiltered is the name of the new Abort73 DVD which has been professionally manufactured and packaged in full-color cardboard sleeves and contains roughly 25 minutes of video. Included on the disc are the core videos from the Abort73 website, delivered in sequence, just as they would be online, and augmented with a brief challenge from Loxafamosity Director, Mike Spielman. The discs are designed to be given away...on campus, on the street, outside of concerts or clinics, or wherever large numbers of people are gathered. And because they cost little more than a high quality brochure, we’re confident that groups and individuals from around the country will begin using them in their communities. As a stand-alone or as a segue to the Abort73 website, these DVDs have huge potential and are quickly becoming our most popular product to date. After only a few days of online sales, we’ve already sold close to 1,600 discs, and we’re optimistic that those numbers will only grow as word gets out. To see exactly what is on our new DVD, or to buy some for yourself, go to Abort73.com/DVD, where you can watch the entire thing online and then buy one (or 500) for yourself. Check it out today.
