It’s probably fair to say that the average “pro-life” person knows very little about abortion, and very little about prenatal development. How many casual pro-lifers (and most are) could tell you the number of abortions performed in the U.S., or when an embryo’s heart starts beating? Sadly, it would also be fair to say that most pro-life activity does almost nothing to alleviate this educational shortfall. If we’re honest with ourselves (and we must be), abortion advocates aren’t the only ones guilty of hiding behind clichés and slogans. Too often, we assume the points we should be proving, and fail to adequately present the evidence that either validates or refutes the claims made about abortion. When the basic facts of the matter are neglected, it becomes impossible to demonstrate to those who support abortion, that abortion is an act of violence which kills an innocent human being; but it also makes it extremely difficult to convince those who oppose abortion, that abortion is bad enough to actually do something about. This was the conviction that first led to the development of Abort73.com... the feeling that for all the pro-life websites and activities already in existence, a thorough, accurate, and source-able education was still hard to come by.
