One of the best ways to illustrate the inroads that Abort73 has made during its first year of full-time operation is to compare some pertinent numbers. In November 2004, the month that our primary content was first unveiled, Abort73 hosted 185 unique visitors. One year later, in November 2005, Abort73 hosted 163,471 unique visitors! In January 2005, the month we began selling Abort73 Gear, we sold a whopping 22 shirts. So far this January, we’ve sold 238 shirts, and counting. Last Fall, searching for “Abort73” on Google yielded 22,900 results (up from 3,670 for the summer), but today, searching for “Abort73” brings 47,200 returns. What does all this mean? It means that a lot more people are visiting, linking to, talking about, and “wearing”
Abort73.com than ever before, and that’s a very good thing. That is the “big-picture”, but the “small-picture” is no less encouraging. The individual testimonies of changed minds and saved lives continue to come in, indicating that among those nameless 163,000, there is much good being done.
